With 42,000 instances of Nexus running in the wild, and 80% of the people using a repository manager to access Central, it’s time for a dedicated resource for the Nexus Community. The site you are currently viewing is the new home for all things Nexus.
Why build a community?
There has been an explosion of Nexus usage over the past few years. Nexus instances doubled from 21,000 (June 13) to 42,000 (Sept 14) . This pace of growth confirms our belief in the need for helping developers build more secure software and encourages us that we are on the right path when it comes to bringing security into the entire software development lifecyle.
We are trying to make it as easy and simple as possible for you to have access to the resources and tools you need to get your job done. We have gathered a global team of authors and practitioners. It is our intent to provide new, as well as experienced, Nexus users with a constantly updated resource center with content not just from Sonatype, but from others in the field who use Nexus on a daily basis.
You will hear from our friends at HP (Daniel Miessler, Mark Painter and Joy Marie Forsythe). Microsoft MVP Damir Arh will keep us up to date on how Nexus integrates with NuGet. Jeroen Reijn and Chris Riley will give us a DevOps perspective on best practices. One of my favorite is a new video series being created by Manfred Moser on how other tools in the developer tool chain work with Nexus. All of this, in addition to updates from the Sonatype engineering and development teams.
Content on the site is updated on a daily basis. Registered community members have immediate access to the “Members Only” area where you will find video galleries, free training modules and other content as it becomes available.
Thank You for Your Support
This community is our way of saying thank you to the tens of thousands of companies and users who continue to support us as we build Nexus into a tool that will become indispensable for building security software. If you need something that you can not find here, please contact me personally and I will get back to you. If I can’t help you, I know someone who can.
I look forward to seeing you at a future event. Please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself.
